The Computer Lab Volunteer works with our members 1-on-1 to access job and housing resources, work on resumes, follow up on leads, etc. This position is crucial to helping our members improve themselves both personally and professionally. Computer Lab Volunteers are asked to work at least one 2 hour shift and set their schedule a month in advance. Schedule and availability varies. NEW VOLUNTEERS MUST ATTEND A VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION SESSION PRIOR TO VOLUNTEERING. PLEASE CHECK OUR WEBSITE FOR DATES/TIMES.
Beginning June 9th, Volunteer Orientations will be on hold while we make the move to our new building at 500 N. Edwards. Volunteer Orientations are expected to resume in August 2016.
- Must possess basic knowledge of computers, the internet, and Microsoft Office.
- Other skills needed include compassion, flexibility and an ability to serve persons experiencing homelessness, poverty, mental illness, and/or substance abuse.
