Young Women’s Leadership is an advocacy skill-building program designed to empower young women to advocate for issues that affect their lives and communities. Young Women’s Leadership provides tools, support, and mentoring to help young women gain confidence, see their self-worth, and speak out on issues that matter to them. The program provides a brave space for conversations between young women on issues that affect their daily lives like body image, media, social media, race, gender, sexual health and sexuality, and healthy relationships. Additionally, the program teaches young women how to advocate for themselves and their community to policy makers and reinforces that they have the power to make change.
It will be one-day a week for nine weeks, between April 1, 2017 and May 31, 2017.
